You wish to schedule an initial consultation at Southern Psychiatric Professionals. This initial evaluation will last approximately one and one-half to three hours (depending on age of client). The charge of this appointment ranges from $399.99 to $499.99 for adults and $499.99 to $599.99 for children (under 18 years). Please call our office at 770-400-9660 to discuss the intake process.

The initial psychiatric evaluation is the centerpiece of psychiatric treatment. Many people have been misdiagnosed or misinformed about psychiatric illness and SPP understands that an accurate diagnosis is the key to formulating a proper treatment plan.  SPP will also explore all possible etiologies of symptoms, including medical problems, substance use, personality/psychological issues,  and environmental, as these require different treatments. 

At the end of your evaluation, SPP providers will educate you about your diagnosis and create a collaborative treatment plan.  This may include further medical work up, including ordering blood work, imaging, psychological, neuropsychological, or genetic tests to help clarify the diagnosis or cause of symptoms.  Possible treatments, including psychotherapy and psychotropic medications will be explained, including the possible risks and benefits of each treatment modality.

While we do not accept private insurance options, we can provide you with paperwork to submit to private insurance for possible reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.  Sorry, SPP does not accept Medicaid clients at this time.
